Description
The Freezer Farm is a core facility providing safe and reliable dry storage at ultra-low temperatures. We have eight -80°C chambers with a total combined storage capacity of over 1.8 million samples.
Storing samples that are not being actively used with the Freezer Farm is an easy way to free up space for active projects while being able to recall the stored samples at any time should the need for them arise.
Investigators can be confident that their samples will be safe while in storage as the Freezer Farm utilizes multiple backup systems to ensure that no loss of temperature occurs regardless of power outages or natural disasters. Samples stored with the Freezer Farm will never be needlessly handled and contents of each box will never be rearranged or removed unless the sample owner request their return.
