The Laboratory Animal Resources Core is committed to the husbandry, health, and welfare of all animals used to advance biomedical knowledge and education at the SUNY Upstate Medical University.

We will assist faculty, staff and students involved in research projects by providing information, training, assistance, guidance and support on the proper methods, techniques, and unique biological needs of all species used.

Our efforts will provide for the scientific needs of our investigators and for the health and well-being of the animals while complying with all applicable regulations and guidelines.

We commit ourselves to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory animal care by efficiently maximizing the resources available to us. We will continue to meet the ever-changing challenges of new projects through our adaptability, cooperation, creativity, and commitment to excellence.
