Abstract
We call a Fuchsian group, G, δ-stable if δ(G′) = dim(Λ(G′)) for every quasi-Fuchsian deformation G′ of G. It is well known that every finitely generated Fuchsian group has this property. We give examples of infinitely generated Fuchsian groups for which it holds and others for which it fails.
