Abstract
Starting from the preparation of fuel cell catalysts and catalytic layers with low cost, high durability and high utilization ratio of catalytic active sites, the surface modification of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was carried out by using different oxidants and operation modes. Then, Pt/CNTs catalysts were prepared by the chemical reduction of polyols. Finally, a new type of catalytic layer with buckypaper structure and gradient distribution of catalytic active center and porosity was proposed. The catalytic layer can promote the mass transfer and electronic conductivity of fuel cells, which improving the utilization of platinum.
