Abstract

A tunable interior-ridge microring filter is demonstrated with a high quality factor of 1.5μ105, while achieving a thermal tuning efficiency of 5.5"W/GHz. The filter demonstrates a record low insertionloss <0.05dB over an uncorrupted 4-THz free-spectral-range.
