Abstract
In this paper we propose a sub-channel selective OFDM-SS system, which implements a sub-optimal, constant power, water-filling. The maximal ratio combining weights are used as channel side information. The use of a distributed algorithm removes the need to collect all the data at the base station. The performance of this system is studied and compared to the exact water-filling and conventional OFDM-SS system through simulation for single and multi-user (CDMA) cases.
