Abstract

A system was proposed in which the amplitude of macroscopic flux tunneling can be modulated via the Aharonov-Casher effect. The proposed system is a rf superconducting quantum interfering devices (SQUID) with the Josephson junction replaced by a Bloch transistor. It was observed that the SQUID is useful as a qubit for quantum computation.
