Abstract

The cause of the granulomatous parenchymal reaction in allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis has been attributed to a hypersensitivity reaction. A case in a woman of 46 is reported with Aspergillus fumigatus identified in lung tissue (lobectomy) suggesting that the pathologic changes in some cases can be due to limited parenchymal colonization.
