Abstract
A capillary electrophoresis-laser induced fluorescence-intensified charge coupled device system was used for the high-sensitivity analysis of amino sugar. Two important nature amino sugar, glucosamine, galactosamine, and glucosaminic acid were chosen as model compounds, and derivatized with fluorescein isothiocyanate. The effects of some experimental conditions on their derivatization and separation were investigated in detail. The limit of mass detection of glucosamine was 170 zmol.
