Abstract

The results of initial studies showing the high activity of intercalation compounds of Lewis acids (C30SbCl5, C77FeCl3, C64AlBr3) as initiators of the cationic polymerization of cyclosiloxanes are presented. The influence of some reaction conditions on the yield and the molecular mass of the polymers formed is described.
