Abstract

A retrospective review of 15 patients with atrial fibrillation and class III to IV congestive heart failure who underwent atrioventricular nodal ablation demonstrated a marked improvement in their functional abilities. This improvement in their functional abilities. This improvement, however, could not be explained by the improvement in ejection fraction alone.
