Composite electrode for improved oxygen reduction

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

A novel composite electrode strategy is presented, which involves layer by layer electrochemical depositions onto a carbon electrode in the fabrication process. The composite electrode is investigated for use in promoting the oxygen reduction reaction, where a significant improvement is demonstrated in nonaqueous electrolyte relative to an uncoated carbon electrode. These results show promise toward the future development of nonaqueous metal-air batteries.
