Abstract
The goal of this project was to create a single LabView program that would control an apparatus used to measure plane strains developed in the capsule during physiological motions of cadaveric, human lumbr spine specimens. The actuator was coupled to a potted, vertical specimen at the L1 vertebra by a rigid rod using connections with single rotational DOFs at each end of the rod. At present, this program is being used to study the physiology strains of the facet joint capsule.
