Abstract

The Side Effects of Drugs Annuals is a series of volumes in which the adverse effects of drugs and adverse reactions to them are surveyed. The series supplements the contents of Meyler's Side Effects of Drugs: The International Encyclopedia of Adverse Drug Reactions and Interactions. This review of the January 2015 to December 2015 publications on immunosuppressive and immunostimulatory drugs covers belatacept, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine, everolimus, fingolimod, glatiramer, leflunomide, mycophenolic acid (mycophenolate mofetil and enteric-coated mycophenolate sodium), sirolimus (rapamycin), tacrolimus, temsirolimus, thiopurines and the immunoenhancing drug levamisole. A special review of genetic associations with cyclophosphamide side effects is presented. Pharmacogenetic associations to adverse effects are also presented for cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine, leflunomide, and tacrolimus.
