Abstract
Basic dye-concentrated nanoparticles (∼ 33 nm in diameter) show fluorescence-based ratiometric pH response, by one- and two-photon excitations, with improved proton sensing ability (pKa ∼ 6.4) through nanoscopic intraparticle energy transfer.
