title = "E-governance in federal government websites: The cases of Canada and Mexico",
abstract = "This poster describes a project entitled {"}E-Governance in Federal Public Sector Websites in Canada and Mexico.{"} The project demonstrates some of the theoretical and practical differences between e-Government and e-Governance as they appear in national websites. Based on a comprehensive review of indicators from the relevant literature, we propose a set of elements of e-Governance and apply this conceptual model to measure their presence in federal public sector websites in Mexico and Canada. The project attempts to show that in both countries some characteristics of e-Governance are already present, but not fully developed, and have low-impact on citizens, businesses, and other stakeholders. Understanding how to measure and assess e-Governance could lead to better evaluation tools and more comprehensive theories by disentangling its multiple aspects and their relationships.",
