Abstract
Early intervention (EI) is the term that describes the services and supports provided to families of infants and young children with or at risk of developmental delays (DDs) and disabilities through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) of 2004. EI services can vary from state to state and within different EI centers in the same state.
