Abstract
Hypoplastic left heart syndrome was once considered a lethal congenital heart defect; yet, the prognosis is improving with advances in health care. Many ethical dilemmas still surround this diagnosis and treatment. This article explores the ethical side of hypoplastic left heart syndrome care.
