Abstract
In a globalizing context, it is important that feminist praxis, like all feminist concepts and theories, pays attention to the particular histories and contexts from which they emerge and acknowledge and engage other ways to understand and imagine them. Toward that end, in this chapter, we provide a decolonial elaboration of feminist praxis that begins with recognizing the coloniality of gender; that sees modernity and its emancipatory projects, including feminism, as part of the matrix of coloniality and capitalism; and that is informed by social imaginaries of gender justice beyond the modern, whether liberal or socialist.
