Abstract
The interpretation of structure in the infrared absorption spectrum of InSbin terms of electron-(magneto) plasmon interaction is considered in light of the question of separability of plasmon and center of mass degrees of freedom. The presence of impurities is shown to prohibit this separation and to remove the associated exact cancellation obtained for a perfect continuum.
