Abstract

We present a reliable method of droplet guiding device in microfluidic channel. The droplet guiding/sorting process is desirable for most of the two-phase droplet microfluidics. Our approach does not need any active source (e.g., electric field) which may harm to the sample in the droplets during biological experiments. The droplet guiding and distribution is achieved by controlling the surface energy of the droplets which related with the surface area of the droplet.
