Abstract

High-resolution separation of α- and β-tubulin by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) on minigels can be performed rapidly using simple modifications of the standard Laemmli procedure. Separation of the subunits can be observed even in high-protein loads (up to 40 μg of protein).
