Abstract

A new species of the genus Histeridomyces, H. tishechkinii, is formally described and illustrated. Thalli were found on various body parts of Parepierus sp. (Coleoptera, Histeridae. Tribalinae) from New Zealand. The new species is compared to other known species of Histeridomyces on the basis of morphology, host relationships, and geographical distribution.
