Inadvertent transvaginal cystotomy during laparoscopy

Abstract

A case of inadvertent transvaginal cystotomy occurring during laparoscopy is presented. A review of the literature concerning the incidence of urinary tract, essentially ureteral and bladder injuries at laparoscopy as well as the diagnostic measures and treatment of this iatrogenic damage, is discussed.
