Chinese urban development has entered a new era in the twenty-first century with unprecedented challenges. Four main challenges are briefly discussed in this chapter, including the new domestic and international context, new urban development model, migrants’ inclusion and affordable housing for the growing and aging urban population, and urban sustainability environmentally and socioeconomically. Related chapters are summarized and contributions and limitations of this book are discussed at the end.
