Abstract
The phase transition from a hadronic gas to a quark-gluon plasma leads to "softness" of the equation of state and nontrivial explosion-type phenomena, affecting the 〈p⊥〉 of secondaries. Theoretical estimates reproduce qualitatively the main features of recent JACEE observations.
