Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of maxillofacial trauma that should provide the reader with an understanding of diagnosis and management of injuries to the facial skeleton. It reviews the anatomy and pathophysiology of facial injuries and then explores the methods used for diagnosis of these injuries, including physical exam and radiologic assessment. It also discusses useful classification systems for these injuries. Management options and complications are discussed. It provides a comprehensive overview of these injuries and their diagnosis and management.
