Abstract

Our goal is to model a rational cognitive agent whose behavior is driven by its beliefs, desires, and intentions. In this paper we present a model of a simplified cognitive agent and its implementation. We use intensional propositional representations of beliefs, plans, and acts. The representations are expressed using the SNePS semantic network formalism. After giving a declarative specification of our model, we describe an implementation, and examples of its use.
