Abstract

The modeling of angiographic dye washout from cerebral aneurysms before and after stenting was presented. A pulsatile flow generator was used to simulate physiological flow conditions and contrast dye was injected into the flow through a Micro Liter Injection System. The analysis showed that that the model provided a good fit to the data and the parameters involved could be used to quantify the changes occurring due to stent implantation.
