Abstract
The modeling of contaminants transport through soil bentonite barrier walls is performed using the one-dimensional Advective Dispersive Reactive (ADR) equation. It is shown that molecular diffusion should be significant in the transport processes and should be represented in models along with the processes of advection and reaction. The equilibrium form of ADR equation was able to predict the contaminants penetration using reasonable calibration values for diffusion coefficients.
