Abstract
Monodisperse PtNi nanoparticles with various compositions were synthesized by a wet-chemical approach. After electrochemical dissolution of Ni on the particle surface, these particles exhibit a 20-30-fold enhancement in O2 reduction activity as compared to the commercial Pt/C catalysts.
