Abstract
Neither dopamine agonists nor neuroleptics modified the stimulation-evoked release of 3H-dopamine from rat striatal slices. In contrast the stimulation-evoked release of 3H-noradrenaline from slices of rat occipital cortex was enhanced by neuroleptics through a blockade of presynaptic α-adrenoceptors. 3H-neuroleptic binding shows two binding sites in both rat striatum and cortex.
