Abstract
This paper presents a modified Dubinin—Radushkevich (MDR) equation that has a proper Henry's law limit and retains the original form of the DR equation at moderate to high pressures. It was tested against 35 isotherms and gave a better fit compared to the Langmuir and DR models. The MDR equation is applicable over the entire range of pressure from 0 to Paand is therefore useful for the prediction of multicomponent adsorption equilibria via solution thermodynamic models. However, above a relative pressure (P/Ps) of 10-2, the DR equation can be used for this purpose.
