Abstract
The aim of this work is to investigate the polymerization of MMA initiated by the complex PEO gel.t-BuOK in toluene. The influence of the reaction conditions on the yield, molecular weight characteristics and microstructure of the polymers formed is studied as well. The results are compared with those obtained during the polymerization of MMA under the action of t-BuOK complexed with cryptand [222]. The results obtained show that the anionic polymerization of MMA initiated by the complex PEO-gel/t-BuOK proceeds with considerably higher yields than the process initiated only by t-BuOK.
