Abstract

This paper discusses a Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) system which was developed for use in a microelectronics Printed Wiring Board (PWB) assembly facility which specializes in contract manufacturing. This CAPP system focuses on the manual PWB assembly process. It is implemented on a central processor within a star topology Local Area Network (LAN) system. The CAPP system is described, and its inputs and outputs are delineated.
