Propagation of electron waves in InAs/AlGaSb

Abstract

We report on magneto-transport characteristics of InAs/AlGaSb quantum open dot and anti-dot structures. Aperiodic oscillations have been observed at low magnetic fields in addition to the Shubnikov-de-Haas oscillations measured at 4.2K. The characteristics are due to the ballistic nature of electron transport and the propagation of electron waves in InAs. Phase breaking times of electrons in InAs/AlGaSb dot and anti-dot were determined from correlation functions. From these magnetoresistance data and correlation functions, the electron waves propagation in the InAs/AlGaSb is discussed.
