Properties of acoustic surface waves in different layered systems

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Acoustic surface wave propagation properties are investigated in different layered media. The dispersion curves of phase velocity and coupling coefficient are computed for ZnO‐sapphire and CdS‐sapphire combinations. The latter structure was studied experimentally. The experimental data for the phase velocity shows good agreement with the theory. In the coupling coefficient dispersion curve near hk = 1.2 a discrepancy was found between theory and experiment.
