Pulse scattering from two-dimensional crystals

Abstract

The crystalline order in any local, but macroscopic region of an arbitrarily large two-dimensional solid is discussed. The scattering from a short X-ray pulse is shown to exhibit the distinguishing features of this type of short-range order.
