Abstract
We discuss the computation of the one-soliton energy for the φ4 kink-field theory in 1 + 1 dimensions to two loops within the hamiltonian framework of Christ and Lee. We compare our calculation to other work. We also discuss the connection between the quantization method of Tomboulis and Gervais and Sakita and the method proposed by Christ and Lee.
