Abstract

In this work, we study the optimal resource allocation to control an epidemic outbreak in a network of population. In particular, we utilize a Susceptible-Infected-Complicated-Susceptible (SICS) model in which complication phenomena is considered. Due to the limitation of the resources, the epidemic is modelled with two levels of recovery rate: one associated with people under medical treatment and the other associated with people who can get rid of the disease by themselves. The resource allocation is considered in these two cases as well. The problem is formulated as a Geometric Program with budget constraint and rate constraint. We illustrate the performance of our approach through numerical simulations.
