Abstract
Pulsing characterization of RF power amplifier operating in linear and non-linear modes has been performed using a generic RF power amplifier platform. RF power amplifier for this purpose is designed, simulated, built and measured. The pulsing characteristics of the amplifier operating in two modes are measured for different pulse frequency, duty cycle, and pulse repetition rates. The transient responses of the amplifier in two modes are then compared. The performance table illustrating pulsing characteristics of amplifier operating in linear and nonlinear modes is presented.
