Abstract

The sensitive detection of plastic explosives with self-assembled monolayer-coated microcantilevers was performed. These measurements indicate limit of detection (LOD) levels of a few fg. The results show that high sensitivity for rapid and reversible detection can lead to the development of a portable detection device for rapid and sensitive detection of explosive vapors.
