Abstract
Purified PE was doped with Naphthalene, Anthracene and Phenanthrene from its vapours. The amount of ion-radicals of added molecules and shape of RTL curve as function of dose and concentration of doped molecules were examined. Under low temperature (77 K) radiolis anion-radicals (AR) of added molecules were formed. Movement of the AR and its subsequent recombination with cations results in maximum RTL integral of which is proportional to the concentration of AR under partial heating. The dose dependences of concentration of AR and integral of RTL reaches the maximum which is at a bigger dose in the former case than in the latter. This is connected with quenching of RTL PE by radicals of radiation origin. Perren's rigid sphere model was used for analytical description of experimental results. The trapping radii of electrons by doped molecules and radicals were calculated.
