Abstract
An expression is derived for the steady-state sound energy density in an enclosure containing a distribution of simple sources and having a diffusely reflecting absorbent boundary. Calculation of the reverberant sound energy density requires prior calculation of the wall intensity, which is found by solving an integral equation. Solutions are obtained for a simple source in a spherical enclosure.
