Text mining to analyze employee feedback on work environment

Abstract

Text mining is a method that enables automatic information extraction from text data. Several applications such as national security, human resources department, customer relationship management, and academics uses text mining to gain insights in text-based data. This study analyzes survey results of 2,210 employees’ feedback in a health-care organization. The survey contains six questions to reflect employees’ feedback on the organization’s working environment. Several text mining techniques used in this study help us understand current challenges in workplace and provide potential ways for improvement. The feedback includes insights regarding human resources and management teams in the organization.
