Abstract
The most important principles of short-term, problem-oriented psychotherapy, especially a defined target, flexibility, activity of the therapist and emphasis on time, may be applicable to art psychotherapy. The utilization of these principles is represented in a case report. In this technique the therapist uses selected drawings in a defined tailored-to-measure way which, by directing the patient's associations, is aimed at solving a current problem that has implications to wider aspects of the patient's being.
