Abstract
Examines whether appropriate technologies, used more widely, could improve our way of life. Takes data from comparative studies of 'appropriate' production technologies in developing countries, and uses the data in a global economic model to speculate about the survival chances of poor countries which adopt appropriate technologies on a significant scale.-C.J.Barrow (CDS)
