Abstract

The theory of hybrid experiments which combine TOSS-type sequences with multiple-pulse-scaling sequences to efficiently eliminate rotational sidebands is described. The analysis relies on the magnetization vector model of magic-angle spinning NMR and leads to a simple derivation of the equations which govern the experiments. New pulse sequences are given for a wide range of experimental conditions.
