abstract = "Radiation and scattering characteristics of layered anisotropic media have been investigated through Fresnel coefficients. Fresnel and transmission coefficients for layered anisotropic media when optic axis is vertical and arbitrarily oriented for several cases including isotropic-anisotropic and anisotropic-anisotropic case have been derived and analyzed. Brewster and critical angles for the layered anisotropic configuration have been derived analytically and investigated for various conditions. The numerical results for the layered anisotropic configuration have been presented. Results of this work can be used for oceanic remote sensing applications where Fresnel reflectance information is required.",
