Abstract
A solution for numeric relational data rights protection through watermarking, wmdb.*, is introduced. The alteration attacks and natural handling of various higher level semantic constraints such as classification preservation and maximum absolute change bounds, are also discussed. The expression of semantic constraints was allowed in terms of arbitrary code or structured query language (SQL) queries over the relations. This approach ensured that any changes made by the watermarking algorithm do not violate the required properties.
